Fusion hero Lee Ritenour wowed the Stavanger audience big style during his first concert in town last year. Look forward to a fresh chance in March, this time together with co-legend Dave Grusin on piano, complemented by Tom Kennedy on bass and Chris Coleman on drums.

Guitar virtuoso Ritenour is the man behind the 1981 hit «Is It You». He is an internationally recognised guitarist, studio musician, composer and producer with over 40 albums to his name. As a pioneer in modern jazz and funk, he has reaped countless rewards throughout his career, with nearly 20 Grammy nominations. His collaboration with keyboardist Grusin during the 80s still stands like a colossus within the fusion genre.

Grusin – now 82 years old – is a legendary composer, arranger and pianist who has written music for several films and TV-series, winning Oscars and 12 Grammy awards for his efforts. Among these over 100 films we find «The Champ», «The Fabulous Baker Boys», «The Firm», as well as 14 songs for «The Graduate». He was nominated for best original song «It Might Be You» from “Tootsie” and the familiar fanfare for Tristar Pictures’ film leader is also his work.

Line-up: Dave Grusin – keyboards; Lee Ritenour – guitar; Tom Kennedy – bass; Chris Coleman – drums
