One of the most exciting contemporary Scandinavian jazz acts

Megalodon Collective comprises young Norwegian/Swedish musicians who, in a short space of time, have risen to become one of the most exciting contemporary Scandinavian jazz acts. The improvisation takes shape in the form of self-composed material, sketches, basic themes or simply spontaneous initiatives. Inspiration is taken from film music, free jazz, nature, noise music, classical, as well as music of the Middle Ages.

Megalodon Collective were nominated for a Norwegian Grammy in 2015 for their debut album Megalodon. They have also got attention for winning Jazzintro and Norwegian Young Jazz Musician of the Year.
