A concert where two halves of two bands – Atomic and Motif – meet. Heavily inspired by Don Cherry, the music is based around strong melodies composed by the band members. The sound is open and free, but also melodic and structured, delivered with a huge amount of energy and superb interplay between these five fantastic musicians. They have released a number of critically acclaimed albums, most recently in 2016 with “I Just Did Say Something”.
IPA’s members have made a name for themselves as trendsetters in Scandinavian/European jazz in recent years along with such diverse performers as Ken Vandermark, Evan Parker, Pat Metheny and Chick Corea, as well as their own exciting projects.
