Erlend Apneseth was commissioned to create a piece, entitled Fragmentarium, for the Kongsberg Jazz Festival in 2019. It´s resounding success means that many audiences around the country can now experience it first-hand. Described as a master of the fiddle, Apneseth elevates folk music to dizzy new heights, demonstrating his respect for tradition whilst simultaneously breaking away from it. He is accompanied by some of Norway´s finest musicians and the results are truly mesmerizing.
