Tor Yttredal´s Impression Quartet is rightly referred to as a “Superband”, consisting of saxophonist Tor Yttredal himself and his three carefully hand-picked Norwegian musical heavyweights – namely Audun Kleive, Ståle Storløkken and Ole Morten Vågan. Their style is free, harmonious, rhythmic, hard yet soft, fast but slow, and their MaiJazz 2019 performance was one of the festival´s absolute highlights.
